How do I register for the race?Online registration will open in September and stay open through race day morning. Race day registration will increase to $40.

What is the cost to register?The online registration fee is $35. Children aged 5 and under are free.

Do you allow race day registration?Race day registration will be $40 and can be made online using a credit card.

Is there a race shirt?Yes! We will have shirts this year for anyone who signs up by November 1st so make sure to sign up early!

I'm not much of a runner. Are walkers allowed?Yes, walkers of all ages and abilities are welcome. The registration cost is the same for both running and walking.

Am I allowed to push a baby jogger or stroller?Yes!

Can I get a refund?No, race policy is no refunds. All proceeds benefit Northbororough Recreation, so you’re doing good even if you can’t run.

Where do I pick up my bib number and t-shirts?Bibs can be picked up on Wednesday, November 22nd from 5-7pm at the Northborough Police Department, 211 Main Street, Northborough, MA. We encourage you to pick up your bibs in advance to avoid the race day rush.

Am I allowed to pick up bib numbers for a partner/friend/family member?Absolutely! We highly encourage you to pick up your bibs and shirts the night before the race. If you can’t make it to the Northborough Police Department, feel free to ask your friend/neighbor/family member to pick up your bib for you.

How long is the course?5K which is equivalent to 3.1 miles.

What is the course like?The course winds through bucolic residential neighborhoods. All roads are closed during the race by the Northborough Police. Visit our Race Details page for more information on the route.

Is there a start mat?Yes, for the most accurate results, all entrants are chip timed based on when they cross the start and finish mat.

Is this race chip timed?Yes, this race is chip timed by New England Timing. The chip, which is built into your race bib, is a small tag with an electronic sensor that records when you cross the start and finish mat. Please do not fold or mutilate your race bib number. Bibs/chips are disposable and do not need to be returned. Note: For the most accurate timing, wear your bib on your FRONT outside any clothing (jackets, sweatshirts, etc).

Are there restroom facilities on the course?Porta potties will be available at the Zeh school where the race begins and ends. No restroom facilities are available on the course.

Are there water stops on the course?Yes, we usually have at least one water station on the course, though the location often changes from year to year due to volunteers and availability. Check back here closer to race day for locations.

What time does the race start?The race starts at 8am.

Where should I park?Parking is available at the Zeh School, 33 Howard Street. Overflow parking is next door at the Church of the Nativity, 45 Howard Street. Note that Northborough Police closes Howard Street approximately 30 minutes before the start of the race.

What is the average temperature at race time?The average temperature in Northborough at the end of November is 45 degrees. Morning temperatures at race time tend to be a bit cooler. Keep in mind this is New England, so expect anything from single digits to beach weather.

Are there prizes?Yes, we offer prizes to the top male and female finishers by age groups.
